Touched by our software
The new functions in ApplStream version 6 increase the efficiency of working with data in the ORACLE E-Business Suite information system and offer higher comfort to the company management. Online reporting and Business Intelligence have never been so simple and with such high added value.
Dynamic Dashboard
Creation of a 4 in 1 management page into which you can load required reports or graphs. Any number of so created pages can be saved in the "Management pages" section.
A special active "catch pull" function gives you the possibility to dynamically change the screen with the report by holding the right mouse button and moving it in the direction enlarge/reduce. The pages show online data, but it is also possible to show offline data from the internal memory.
Financial Data – General Ledger / Balance
The General Ledger / Balance module has new functions in version 6. The innovated General Ledger / Balance enables you to add two more periods to the base period and compare them with each other. You can view the variances in the values between the compared periods in a separate column. The "Extra templates" function was integrated into the General Ledger / Balance.
Comparison of several periods
You can simply define a second and third period to compare with the base period. In this function you can choose only the selected month, i.e. for example May 2010 as the base and May 2011 as the comparison, or you can add a column with a year-to-date value, i.e. January – May 2010 and January – May 2011.
Calculation of the variance and the index between the values
In the new General Ledger / Balance module you can view the variances between the base period and the comparative period. At the same time, the index between the base and the comparative period is calculated and shown.
Financial templates
The integrated "Extra templates" function can be used for generation of standard statutory reports as well as for controlling reports such as profitability, balanced scorecard, etc.
The definition of the template will enable you to create any number of your own templates which will summarise arbitrarily defined accounts from the accounting chain segment.
The pre-defined Profit and Loss Statement template is supplied as a standard example with the General Ledger / Balance module.
The Template Detail function will show individual lines with accounts. Thus you can simply do a detail break-down of the lines of the template.
The template input data can be limited using any criteria in the accounting chain or, to the contrary, a Profit and Loss Statement for more companies can be generated and each company can be exported to a separate Excel sheet.
Summarisation
An increased number of summarised values (lines) on the 1st level of summarisation is new in version 6.
Example of using the function:
In the Receivables module we will activate the fields "Customer", "Seller" and "Amount in CZK". We will arrange and lock the Seller column, and then we will arrange the Customer column and perform a summarisation on the first level. The result will be a report showing a total value of each Seller and summarised values of all Customers for each Seller.
The transmission of summarised lines during export to Excel in version 6 can be taken for granted.
Another new and interesting online function is a break-down to detailed lines on the 2nd level of summarisation.
By clicking on the summary line with the name of the Customer or the Supplier, the module parameters will be reset and individual lines with invoices will be shown. This function is now available in Payables and Receivables.
Advance export to XLS
XLS allocation to sheets
In version 6 you can allocate the data exported to Excel to individual sheets. Simply arrange the data in your report in the column which you wish to allocate to the Excel sheets and set the "Extra option" export to "XLS allocate to sheets".
XLS with grouping
Another new function in the export of data to Excel is the transmission of graphical data grouping. You can see the difference in using this function in the following picture.
XLS with parameters
This function is intended for users who for example want to archive exported data in Excel and will need to know in the future how the module was set for the export. After activation, the defined module parameters will be exported to a separate sheet.
Although our goal is to minimise the work with data in Excel we realise that Excel is a very popular user tool and we will continue to support it in the future.
